adidas heads’ and 3 stripes fanatics will probably be already deciding which colourway they will be buying of the adidas Marathon TR trainer. Yes the Marathon TR is back after been firmly locked away in the adidas archives since size? dropped an archive re-release back in 2011. Originally released in the 1980s at a time when adidas were making their mark on the running world from Boston to Berlin.
The 80s trail trainer was known for its ‘uber’ grip sole unit and earned its stripes as one of the best trail runners of the era. Also known as the Marathon Training in some parts of the world, the new ‘Epochal Pack’ brings the OG style back with its signature dellinger web detailing to the midsole, which also featured on other classic archive 3 stripes runners such as the New York and the Atlanta.
For 2018 the Marathon TR is re-released in 2 colourways including ‘Royal Blue’ and ‘Base Green’, both featuring suede overlays, mesh paneling, contrasting silver 3 stripes and trefoil heel tab.
The adidas Marathon TR ‘Epochal Pack’ will be launching from Tuesday 9th January 2018 from endclothing.com.
