Here’s Every Item From The adidas SPEZIAL AW18 Collection
The adidas SPEZIAL AW18 collection features archival techwear, Beckenbauer inspiration and re-invented classic 3 stripes running silhouettes from the 80s.
We can now reveal the full adidas SPEZIAL AW18 drop which follows on with the 30th anniversary of the second Summer of Love theme from 1988. If there was ever a 3 stripes collection that was born out of the North West of England, it would be SPEZIAL, with this latest collection harking back to Gary Aspden’s youth in Blackburn and the Acid House phenomenon that swept the region in the late 80s.
Highlights on the apparel side include Acid House inspired graphic tees, the Carnforth Jacket a reversible puffer style, the Loton Jacket which features a Climastorm fabric drawing inspiration from archive pieces from the Acid House era. Other apparel includes the Aigburth Anorak which is lightweight and packable and then there’s the Harpurhey tracksuit which looks to the classic Beckenbauer silhouette.
On the footwear side of the drop we see the introduction of the Lowertree SPEZIAL trainer which draws inspiration from the adidas Marathon, a classic 80s running silhouette. Then there’s the introduction of the Munchen Super SPEZIAL in a colourful lime green colourway and the return of the Mallison SPEZIAL. The Indoor Comp SPEZIAL looks to classic indoor training shoes from the 80s such as the Indoor Star and the Ivan Lendl series. Finally there’s another re-release with the Wilsy SPEZIAL and a new iteration of the Freizeit with the Punstock SPEZIAL.
