Banksy Hits Coney Island, New York, With His Latest ‘The Whip’ Piece
Banksy’s ‘The Whip’ piece appeared on Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn and features a business man whipping people with a stock market symbol.
What’s that even more Banksy in NYC?, we hear you ask, well it looks that way with another Banksy piece surfacing in Brooklyn’s Coney Island Avenue as confirmed via Banksy’s official Instagram page yesterday evening. Following on from the 14th Street Clock Rat and the Free Zehra Dogan mural, both from last week, the British street artist has now hit NYC with his next piece. Featuring what looks like a business man with a stock market inspired graph/symbol whip, wearing a hard hat and whipping a group of people from single mum’s to the elderly. A clear nod to the current state of planning and new builds, not only in New York but also the likes of London, whereby social housing is thrown by the wayside to introduce profitable plots for the wealthy elite.
