The Barbour x Engineered Garments collection sees Daiki Suzuki put his own military spin on classic capes and coats.

First showcased at London fashion week earlier in the year, the Barbour x Engineered Garments marks a new generation of waxed cotton with Daiki Suzuki teaming up with the British heritage brand. We’ve seen some pretty collabs from Barbour over the last 5 or so years, adidas Originals, White Mountaineering, Wood Wood and now Engineered Garments for an exclusive 5 piece collection. Re-working some classic silhouettes, EG’s Daiki Suzuki has delved deep into the Barbour outerwear archives with the usual military inspiration and no fuss design approach.

The collection includes 5 waxed cotton outerwear pieces including the Cowen which is based around the Cowen Commander jacket as previously worn by the British military, a classic four-pocket parka style and the Dumbo jacket, again looking back to classic military apparel. Suzuki also puts his own spin on a classic policeman’s cape as well as the iconic Beaufort silhouette with the addition of more pockets of course.
