7 Body and Skin Care Tips for the Busy Girls

7 Body and Skin Care Tips for the Busy Girls

When you meet busy women, you probably think that they “have it all”. A successful job and balanced relationships can make them happy, and new growth opportunities are good for their financial health. But, people often don’t know how hard it is to be a busy woman in the modern world. It doesn’t matter whether they live alone or have a family- all of them often struggle to maintain good health and take care of their body and mind.

It’s easy to ignore these issues for a while, but it’s vital to take action on time if you want to avoid stress and fatigue. Luckily, you can be a busy person and still take good care of yourself. All you have to do is find a routine that suits you and start making new habits that will have a positive effect on your health.

Prepare food at home

We often tend to skip our breakfast or buy pastries in local bakeries before going to work. Baked goods are not bad for your health, but there’s always room for improvement. A healthy diet will provide more energy, but it will also improve your gut health and reward your skin with a shiny glow. If you don’t have time or will to prepare healthy meals every day, you should cook and store make-ahead meals

Purchase all ingredients on Sunday to ensure that everything is fresh. Clean and cook vegetables and store them in airtight containers. Include whole-grain pasta or rice and ensure you prepare enough protein-rich foods for the whole week. Once you return from work, you won’t have to cook and wash dishes, but you’ll still be able to satisfy your hunger with a healthy meal. You can prepare healthy snacks as well, and eat them during your breaks or before you arrive at work.

Limit your caffeine intake

Coffee is a magical beverage that allows us to stay awake during difficult times. It can be very beneficial for your health because regular coffee intake can lower the risk of coronary heart disease. Most coffee lovers are less likely to die from stroke, diabetes or kidney disease. But, drinking too much coffee can harm your health.

Avoid drinking this delicious beverage before going to bed, and limit your intake to 250mg of caffeine per day. Cutting back on your caffeine intake is not as easy as it sounds, especially if you tend to drink more than four cups of coffee every day. Give yourself time to adapt to the new regime, and don’t fall into this trap again. We all need coffee after a sleepless night, but other methods such as regular exercise will give you more energy and make you feel fresh and well-rested.

Get more sleep

Busy women who tend to stay at work for ten or more hours know how hard it is to make more room for a regular sleep cycle. They often feel overwhelmed, and sleeping for eight hours every night is often not the most practical solution. Instead of pushing your limits and chasing the impossible, give yourself enough time to rest. Don’t take work stress home with you, and go to bed at the same time every night. A healthy sleep cycle will boost your productivity and protect your skin from aging faster. You will become more creative, but you’ll also learn how to cope with stress better.

Small children require your care and assistance during nighttime. If you have children and you live with your partner, they should learn how to help you and improve their parenting skills.

Wash your face every day

Building a skincare routine can be difficult for people with sensitive skin. It’s advisable to talk to your dermatologist before you try new brands and use only products that are suitable for your skin type. Use a cleanser every morning and before you go to bed. A nourishing cream will provide all the essential ingredients that will make your skin glow.

Always read the list of ingredients before buying a new product. At first, it will be hard to memorize all the harmful chemicals that you can find in your facial cream, but you can always open your browser and get more information about the ingredients in your search engine. Opt for paraben-free cosmetics and try to invest in cruelty-free options because they’re better for the environment.

Soak up the sun

UV exposure can damage your skin, but that doesn’t mean you should hide from the sun. Sitting in the sun for 15 minutes a day can be beneficial for your health. Moderate sun exposure is the most natural way to get enough vitamin D into your system. It can help you improve your sleep cycle and increase serotonin levels in your brain. Happy hormones will boost your mood, which is why many doctors and therapists recommend their patients to spend more time outside and grab some of that sunshine before 10 am.

However, it’s vital to protect your skin with sunscreen and apply it even during colder days. Opt for a sunscreen with a high SPF number and stay hydrated if you want to go out during hot summer days. The hottest time of the day is around 2 pm. Don’t leave your house until 5 pm, but if you have no other choice and you have to go out, put on a dark cotton shirt.

Invest in your hygiene

If you have to work, go to school or take care of your children, you probably don’t have enough time for special skin care treatments at home. However, investing in your hygiene is vital for your health, and you should try to find new methods that will keep you clean and fresh all the time. Shower at least once a day and avoid washing hair more than two times a week. If you start washing your hair every day, you will remove natural oils from your scalp, and your skin and hair will become dry. Trim your nails once a week and clean your ears with hot water and soap or use hydrogen peroxide.

These are the basic routines, but if that’s not enough, there are other ways to improve your hygiene. Stop using wet wipes to remove makeup or clean yourself after you go to the bathroom. They’re often full of harmful chemicals that can irritate your skin and cause itchiness. Micellar water is gentle and effective at removing makeup, oils and dirt from your face. Use natural soaps to wash your hands and stop using toilet paper to clean your bottom and genitals.
Toilet paper is bad for the environment, and it can cause skin irritation and discomfort. Bidet toilet seats will allow you to use water to remove fecal residue from your skin, and more importantly, you will feel clean and happy with your choice all the time.

Switch off from social media

A lot of people spend a few hours a day on social media platforms. It’s normal to search for distractions that will take away your stress and worries, but that’s not a permanent solution. Without social media, you will have more time for regular physical activity, and for yourself and your hobbies. Switch off from social media and try to work on your progress.

It will be easier to create healthy habits if you learn how to be more present and focused on daily activities. Instead of spending a few hours a day on social media, call your friends or family and invite them to go with you for a walk. You will start moving your body again, and that will make you feel a lot better at the end of the day. It’s often hard to make this decision, especially if you’re not aware of the problem. Take a break for a few days and determine how much time you’ll have after you turn off your data. Once you notice how much time you can invest in yourself, it will be easier to break this bad habit.

Busy girls don’t always “have it all”, but hard work and determination can help them achieve their mission. Focus on yourself and ask your friends to tell you more about your flaws. It might not be easy to learn more about your imperfections, but that’s one of the first steps towards changing your life. Use that information to build a better routine and nurture your relationship with yourself. Take small steps every day, and after a while, you will become more satisfied with your choices.
