The Gosha Rubchinskiy x adidas Football AW17 drop is all about post Soviet inspirations and classic 3 stripes sportswear.
Classic 80’s inspired sportswear has been an integral of the Gosha Rubchinskiy label since its inception back in 2009. Whilst Western’ news maybe dominated about Putin’s actions, its good to see a mutual connection for youth and street culture with the Moscow born designer. The brand takes most of its inspirations from post-soviet Russia as well as Russian street culture. Previous collections have seen the acclaimed designer collaborating with classic casual sportswear brands such as Kappa, Fila and of course Sergio Tacchini. Adding a new twist to classic sportswear with a contemporary edge, Gosha Rubchinskiy is the most talked about streetwear label coming out of Russia at the moment.
For July 2017 we see the introduction of the Gosha Rubchinskiy x adidas Football AW17 collection in honour of the forthcoming Fifa World Cup 2018, which of course is held in Russia. As much as the threat of ‘Russian Ultras’ may be dominating the competition, the Gosha x adidas collaboration is arguably getting as much attention. The collection features classic adidas tracksuits with the Gosha finishing touches such as the signature ‘Slavic’ writing associated with the brand. Alongside the adidas football collaboration the collection also includes a range of heavy outerwear, bold knitwear, soviet inspired headwear, shirting and football scarves.
The Gosha Rubchinskiy x adidas Football AW17 collection will be dropping from July 2017 from global stockists such as Slam Jam Socialism. You can also check out our previous feature exploring why everyone talking about Gosha Ruchinskiy right now?
