Lacoste Fairplay Collection Autumn Winter 2015

Continuing with the tradition of their rich Tennis heritage, Lacoste has introduced their fair play collection. Lacoste is one of the brands which has never forgotten where their roots lie, and this is evident with some of their latest range.

Taking inspiration from the man who started it all, Rene Lacoste, some of the Fair Play collection such as the Fleece Sweatshirt and the Crew Neck T-shirt are emblazoned with Lacoste’s own signature as a tribute to him. As well as this there is also the ‘Fair Play’ motto which Lacoste coined, and this is displayed on a Fleece Sweatshirt in addition to a cotton Crew Neck T-shirt.

The Fair play collection is a mixture of unmistakable French design, with a more high end urban feel to some of their items such as their hooded water repellent parka and the water repellant windbreaker, as well as their Mesh and Jersey Hoody.

Lacoste have always done Polo shirts excellently (as it’s what started the brand off), for example, one of the best pieces in the whole collection is the slim fit polo in the tricolour of Bilberry Bush Chine and Tango. However the combination sweatshirts, shirts, T-shirts as well as coats and jackets have also made the brand as successful as it is today.

It’s refreshing to see a more traditional brand such as Lacoste not only keeping the core designs as well as branching out without sacrifices being made. This is what the extensive Fair Play collection demonstrates superbly and in the future, Lacoste will come with more innovative ideas, while still maintaining that distinctly French feel.
