Lacoste & Beams Drop Classics, Stripes & Bespoke Parkas
The Lacoste x Beams collaboration comes back into fruition for 2018 with more streetwear focused heritage style pieces.
Yes Lacoste has its heritage on the tennis court and of course the casual movement of the late 70s and early 80s, but some of the best Lacoste we have seen for a long time was surely the Supreme x Lacoste drop from last year, highlighting the brands 90s streetwear influences. This then led to teaming up with the Japanese streetwear powerhouse, Beams, also in May 2017. Rewind back to the mid 90s and Lacoste wasn’t just another ‘polo shirt’ type brand, it was a fully fledged French sportswear label dropping vibrant tracksuits that could be seen on the streets of Paris with the latest Air Max 95’s and such, a style that the likes of Patta have revived in recent years.
Following on from their 2017 drop, the Lacoste x Beams Japan collection is back for March 2018 with a collection of bespoke parka’s in a robust cordura nylon fabric. Classic Lacoste polos, t-shirts and long sleeve tees get reshaped with oversized fits with heavier cotton jersey fabrics with a more streetwear focused direction.
