We take a look at some of most nostalgic vintage adidas adverts from the last 40 years.

If you have the budget, advertising is what can set a company miles apart from its competition, with brands like Apple & Coca-Cola spending a high proportion of their revenue on just advertising. However making adverts that stand the test of time 40 years later can be very challenging but with sporting brands like adidas maybe not so. The brand has created so many iconic silhouettes over the years that get re-imagined and re-launched so its easy for us to feel a connection with the original campaigns and adverts.

We take another look at some classic adidas posters and adverts from the 1970’s, 1980’s and 1990’s celebrating the sporting heritage of the 3 stripes brand. If you are an avid reader of Real Clobber Magazine then you will no doubt be as much of a fan of the adidas brand as we are and we start with the launch of the now iconic adidas SL72 silhouette back in the 1970’s.
