New Balance Celebrate The 990v4 With The Ltd Edition MADE Trainer
The New Balance 990v4 MADE trainer celebrates an era of 80s running technology with an exclusive drop for 2018.
As all avid sneaker heads will know, New Balance really made their mark on the world with their running styles released throughout the 1980s and 1990s. As premium runners went, the New Balance 990 was certainly up there, marketed as one of the most technical trainers of its era. One of the first NB styles to incorporate their famous ENCAP sole system, a key feature still used on styles ranging from the 1500 to the 577 to this day. A key style of the ‘Made in USA’ prestigious roster, the 990v4 made its comeback in 2012 thanks to a growing resurgence of classic runner styles and OG appreciation.
In celebration of the iconic early 80s runner, New Balance will be dropping 1500 limited edition pairs of the New Balance 990v4 MADE trainer. The premium running style features the usual 990v4 goodies with premium pig suede uppers and ‘Est 1982’ to the heel counter. The chosen colourway is the original grey hue from the 1982 release. As part of the celebrations for the release, New Balance have teamed up with END. Clothing for a 990 inspired exhibition which will take on Ebor Street, London tomorrow from 5pm-7pm.
