The New Balance 991 Gets Some Eastern Spice Inspiration
The early noughties 991 running silhouette returns for February 2019 with some spicy hues and a new burnt orange colourway.
Originally released as part of the ongoing 990 series which dates all the way back to the early 80s, the New Balance 991 first made it mark on the sneaker world back in 2001 as an extension of the 990X silhouette. The updated 991 trainer introduced a new generation of Abzorb sole technology and is now officially back on the sneaker radar followings its re-release in 2017.
For February 2019 the New Balance 991 silhouette is treated to an Eastern Spice update drawing inspiration from the orange and red spice hues from cumin to turmeric. Highlights include premium suede uppers in Burnt Orange with an ENCAP midsole and ABZORB sole technology for the ultimate on foot cushioning and shock absorption.
The New Balance 991 Eastern Spice trainer is available now from exclusive New Balance stockists such as 43einhalb.com. In other recent sneaker news you can also check out the forthcoming Jasmine Lasode x Nike Air Max 97 London Summer Of Love trainer.
