The Nike Air Max 1 Gets A Subtle Team Orange Update
The legendary Tinker Hatfield silhouette from 1987 is now treated to a clean Team Orange overhaul for February 2019.
The 1980s saw a ‘sneaker race’ like never before with the majority of legendary running silhouettes coming from the era. As the big sportswear brands battled to release the best trainer technology, a legacy of running classics was born in the making. The same year ASICS would introduce their GEL-LYTE concept, Tinker Hatfield had also been tinkering about with his ‘visible air’ concept, something that would go on to become one of the hottest and hyped Nike styles of all time. 2019 will mark the 32nd anniversary of the Nike Air Max 1 and regardless of age, the silhouette is still as influential as it was back in the late 80s.
For February 2019 the Nike Air Max 1 is now released in a uber fresh white and ‘Team Orange’ colourway. Highlights of the 2019 release include side swooshes and tongue tabs in Team Orange with all white uppers and midsole for a clean, classic take on the 1987 icon.
The Nike Air Max 1 Team Orange trainer is available now via Nike stockists worldwide including afew-store.com. In other recent sneaker news you can also check out our Nike Air Max 1 ‘Madchester’ trainer design from last year.
