The Nike Air Max 97 Is Given The ‘Shipping Box’ Treatment

This latest Nike Air Max 97 Shipping Box trainer is given a seasonal parcel style makeover with barcodes and cardboard inspired hues.
Sending sneakers through the post is certainly big business as sneaker heads wait eagerly at the door, tracking number at the ready, following their courier as they get closer to their street. It’s usually the parcel on the outside of the box, however this latest drop from Nike looks to flip the parcel to the inside of the shoe box. The legendary Bullet Train inspired Air Max 97 is now given the parcel treatment with the ‘shipping box’ trainer which is set to release for December 2018.
Alongside the brown cardboard inspired colourways of ale brown and elemental gold hues to the uppers, the Air Max 97 also features a translucent outsole with a barcode, as well as a parcel tape inspired silver and white pull tab to the tongue. Other highlights include a stamp box certificate to the insole with ‘Memphis Tennessee’ a reference to Nike’s US shipping HQ.
The Nike Air Max 97 Shipping Box trainer will be launching from selected Nike stockists shortly such as 43einhalb.com. In other recent Air Max news you can also check out the forthcoming Carhartt WIP x Nike Air Max 95 Tiger Camo trainer.
