The North Face Purple Label Drops A Japanese Exclusive Unisex Range

The North Face Purple Label AW17 is all about unisex pieces and the usual outdoors inspired tech gear.

The North Face has gone from strength to strength over the years, appealing to almost every age group. However, its Purple Label collections have achieved cult status with the younger wearers because of its collect-ability and exclusivity. Now the North Face have released their latest Purple Label offerings in conjunction with Japanese brand Nanamica for AW17, and with an added twist.

The collection consists of coats, jackets and other outerwear as well as t-shirts and accessories in the form of backpacks, socks and caps. Unlike a lot of the other brands and collections out there at the minute though, a particular highlight of this one is that it has been designed as Unisex. Recently, there has been an increase in blurring the lines between what sort of clothes males and females can get away with, and The North Face Purple Label collection does this brilliantly with its ambiguous colours and occasional splash of neon thrown in for good measure.

Khakis, Olives and Browns give the collection a distinctly Autumnal feel, while the brighter colours, especially the more vivid accessories make sure things don’t get too boring and even compliment any choice or combination of outfit. As good as the collection is, the one major drawback is that it will only be exclusively available in Japan which, while maintaining rarity, increases prices for anyone trying to get their hands on it this side of the world.
