OVERKILL Celebrate 90s Berlin & Sneaker Culture With The ZX 10.000 C
The OVERKILL x adidas ZX 10.000 C trainer harks back to the 90s and the creativity that was born out of the German capital.
After the collapse of the Berlin wall in 1989, the 90s saw a new Berlin with the rise of graffiti culture, sneaker culture and underground electronic music. It also marked the birth of the four digit ZX series from adidas, continuing the running heritage and innovation from its initial launch in 1984, the ZX line boasts numerous silhouettes like the ZX600 the ZX250 with the ZX9000 marking the last ever style in 1989. OVERKILL now complete the celebrated ZX series from the 3 stripes brand with a collaboration in celebration of all things 90s, sneakers, street culture and creativity.
As big fans of the ZX sneaker, OVERKILL and the team headed to the adidas archives in Herzogenaurach Germany to delve even further into the world of the ZX line. Working in collaboration with original ZX series designer such as Jacques Chassaing and the Consortium line, Overkill and adidas introduce a new ZX trainer which could quite easily be mistaken for an original silhouette of the series from the 90s. With classic style colourways throughout, collaboration branding to the heel and the legendary Torsion sole technology the ZX series is now complete!
The OVERKILL x adidas ZX 10.000 C trainer will be launching exclusively as part of a special Overkill event which will be held at Old Coin, Molkenmarkt 2, 10179 Berlin on Saturday 9th February 2019. In other recent sneaker news you can also check out the adidas Brussel trainer which launches today.
