Palace Skateboards hit the ‘Big Apple’ with their newly opened flagship store, located on Howard Street.
Following on from the news of the opening of the Palace Skateboards New York Shop, we now get the chance to take a look inside the store. The London skateboard label was set up in 2009 by Lev Tanju and has since become one of the main players on the global streetwear scene. Their London, Soho store has attracted huge crowds over the years with queues waiting for the next collaborations and limited runs of apparel. The timing couldn’t be better for their next big move and their latest flagship to hit the streets of New York.
The store itself comes in typical Palace ‘fashion’, minimal and lots of space. Going with a kind of ‘Roman Empire’ vibe thanks to a child statue urinating in a ‘P’ shaped fountain and a large red Palace flag referencing traditional Roman imperial banners. The space is completed with a large screen to the back as well as their latest collections of skateboard decks, apparel and accessories.
The Palace Skateboards New York shop is located at 49 Howard Street, New York, 10013 and is open Monday to Saturday 11am-7pm and Sunday 12pm-6pm. You can also check out our feature on the latest Palace Summer 2017 collection here.
