Patta & ASICS Tiger Introduce A Very Exclusive Gel-Lyte

The Patta x ASICS Tiger GEL-LYTE features the 80’s classic trainer with some subtle twists from the Amsterdam label.

As far as collaborations goes, Patta, certainly don’t mess about. 2017 alone has seen them coming together with the likes of PUMA, Nike, Diadora, Umbro and Vans not to mention Carhartt WIP and Stüssy from previous years. The next collaboration instalment from the Amsterdam streetwear label and authority sees them teaming up with ASICS Tiger once again for some classic late 80’s kicks.

The 2017 Patta x ASICS Tiger instalment turns its attention to the famous GEL-LYTE, the trainer most recognisable trainer from the brand and the first in the ‘LYTE’ series. Proceeded by the GEL-LYTE III and the GEL-LYTE V, the trainer was originally released back in 1987. 87′ saw the birth of the likes of Kendrick Lamar and football legends such as Lionel Messi and electronic music genres such as Acid House starting to make its way across the world.

The latest version with Patta features signature ‘ginger honey’ striping with pink detailing and Patta branding to the tongue and laces. The Patta x ASICS Tiger GEL-LYTE will be launching from their Amsterdam and London store from Saturday 29th July 2017 and launching from patta.nl the following Monday. For those looking to grab a pair from the Amsterdam store you can sign up at Nieuwmarkt in the Amsterdam centre from 2pm on Friday 28th July 2017.
