Patta & Umbro Are Back With More 90s Inspired Ajax Football Shirts
The latest Patta x Umbro football shirts reference early 90s kit and features the Ajax goal keeper legend, Stanley Menzo.
Streetwear and football shirts have become big stuff over the last few years with the Amsterdam based brand, Patta, first putting their stamp on the celebrated combination with Umbro last year. Classic sportswear meets Amsterdam streetwear for 2018 with the second installment of the Patta x Umbro football shirt drop. This time however, Ajax goal keeper legend, Stanley Menzo, has dropped in for the shoot with a celebration of Patta’s local continental club and more 90s style football shirts.
This time around the collection is inspired by two away shirts as worn by Stanley Menzo himself from the 1990-01 season. Both have that classic 90s Umbro football shirt aesthetic with one shirt coming in pink, purple and black and the other in blue and white. Each shirt features an embroidered Patta badge to the left chest and ‘PATTA’ to the middle where the likes of club sponsors such as ‘TDK’ would have originally featured in the 90s era.
The Patta x Umbro football shirts will be launching from patta.nl from Monday 19th March 2018 as well as their Amsterdam and London flagship stores. If retro football shirts are your thing then you should also check out our interview with Neal Heard from last year.
