The Supreme x Lacoste collaboration takes us back to the streets of 90’s Paris with vibrant tracksuits and classic Lacoste pieces.

If you stepped foot in the major cities of France or Europe for that matter in the 90’s it was all about Lacoste tracksuits. A staple streetwear piece coming available in an assortment of vibrant colours and different styles. Obviously the top had to match the bottoms and were usually teamed up with the latest Air Max’s seen here, there and everywhere from the streets of Lille to London to Liverpool.

In recent years we have had a resurgence of ‘tracksuit’ culture now being one of the strongest pieces from the top streetwear brands from the states all the way across the pond to Europe and now Russia. Lacoste have certainly been on the apparel scene for quite some time. First getting recognition as a quality tennis brand thanks to René Lacoste it then became a big player on the early casual scene for its premium price tag. Lacoste sportswear really made its name in the 1990’s when sportswear reached its pinnacle in the mid 90’s.

Supreme New York are killing it at the moment, pretty much setting the levels in global streetwear. Teaming up with Lacoste and putting their New York stamp on classic European sportswear. The Supreme x Lacoste collection features 90’s inspired tracksuits, harrington jackets, v-neck tennis jumpers, shorts, sweatshirts, tennis caps and long sleeve polo shirts. Just like stepping foot into a Lacoste store back in the day, the collaboration makes good use of the classic Lacoste colourways with each piece coming available in an assortment of different options.

The Supreme x Lacoste collection launches this coming Thursday 16th March 2017 from supremenewyork.com as well as their flagship stores. In other Supreme related news you can also check out the full Supreme SS17 collection.
