Supreme Fight The Power With Public Enemy & UNDERCOVER
The Supreme x Public Enemy x UNDERCOVER collection features original album graphics from ‘Fear Of A Black Planet’, gold pendants, apparel and rugs.
Supreme New York have always had a close connection with the hip hop movement from the very beginning, with this latest drop looking back to the old school scene of the early 90s. Supreme have now joined forces with the iconic hip hop group, Public Enemy, who formed together in New York in 1986. Known for their politically and socially challenging lyrics with tracks like ‘Fight The Power’ which challenged the American system of the era and the discrimination of the black community. The legacy of Public Enemy can still be felt to this day, with Public Enemy, Supreme & Jun Takahashi’s Japanese streetwear label, UNDERCOVER, joining forces on a very special ‘Fear Of A Black Planet’ inspired capsule collection.
The collection includes original artwork and graphics from the critically acclaimed hip hop album, ‘Fear Of A Black Planet’, originally released in 1990. Featuring a taped seam parka, hoody, sweatpants and puffy jacket with the famous album title in a star wars like font to the rear. Also included is a woven patch work jacket and pants as well as a Public Enemy target shirt, skate pants, sweatshirts and tees. The Public Enemy capsule collection will also include a Dr. Martens 3-Eye collaboration shoe, a 14K Gold Pendant and a rug.
The Supreme x Public Enemy x UNDERCOVER will be launching from supremenewyork.com this coming Thursday 15th March 2018. You can also check out our feature on the Supreme x Nike x NBA Air Force 1 which dropped last week.
