Honda Recalls 780,000 Vehicles in North America Over Fuel Pump Risk

Honda vehicle recall

Honda has announced a recall of 780,000 vehicles in North America due to a high-pressure fuel pump issue. The recall includes 720,000 vehicles in the United States and 61,000 in Canada.

The affected models include the 2023-2024 Honda Accord and Accord Hybrid, the 2025 Honda Civic and Civic Hybrid, and the 2023-2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid.

The issue involves a potential crack in the fuel pump, which could lead to a fuel leak. In the presence of an ignition source, this leak could increase the risk of fire. Honda has received 145 warranty claims related to the issue but has not reported any injuries.

If you own one of the affected models, Honda recommends contacting an authorized dealer for a free inspection and replacement of the defective fuel pump. Notification letters will be sent out in December.

If you notice a fuel smell while driving or idling, it’s important to get your vehicle checked immediately.
