Renault’s Scenic E-Tech electric vehicle has been named the Car of the Year 2024. On February 26, the results were unveiled during a ceremony at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland.
The electric SUV won 329 votes from a jury of 59 journalists from 22 nations, followed by the BMW 5 Series with 308 votes.
The Scenic E-Tech Electric, a full-electric vehicle based on the midsize AmpR platform (previously CMF-EV), is intended for consumers who value versatility. The Scenic is an urban EV with zero emissions, agility, lightweight (1,890 kg), and small size (4.47 meters long).
Scenic has a range of up to 379 miles / 606 kilometers (WLTP), a pleasant, spacious interior, and is loaded with technology to make driving more enjoyable.
“This accolade proves that we made the correct decisions: record-breaking range and generous and inviting space, all with a carefully managed environmental footprint.
When you add in the driving pleasure and ‘voiture à vivre’ equipment like the new Solarbay panoramic sunroof or the latest-generation OpenR Link system with integrated Google systems, Scenic has all the right features to solidify its position in the European EV market,” said Fabrice Cambolive, CEO of Renault.
