2024 Chevy Silverado EV RST gets more range — 440 miles — and lower price

Chevrolet Silverado EV range performance

With sales expected to begin in mid-2024, the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV RST is almost ready for purchase. GM has provided us with some additional information.

Now that an official range estimate is available, it is noticeably more significant than what Chevy had previously stated. The RST outperforms the initial prediction of 400 miles with a full charge and 440-mile rating. With 450 miles on its rating, the 4WT is the only Silverado EV in the trim mix that can drive farther than this one. The 4WT is the Work Truck specification, meaning it sacrifices a lot of creature comforts and luxury for a negligible increase in range, making it the Silverado EV in range.

The final starting price is available today, but only for the first edition RST variant. The fully loaded Silverado EV will start at $96,495, including the $1,995 destination charge. Again, that is a roughly $10,000 improvement over the original price Chevy promised.

However, remember that Chevy raised the price of its Work Truck from $39,900 to $77,905 when it went on sale. The cost of new EVs has been a volatile market.

Additional trims at lesser pricing will be available later, but GM has yet to specify on-sale dates.
