The Korean automaker has revealed the pricing and standard features for the midsize sedan. This includes the base model, all-wheel-drive model, turbocharged N Line, and hybrid trims. The prices are listed below:
SEL: $28,615
SEL AWD: $30,115
SEL Convenience: $31,915
Hybrid SEL: $31,915
N Line: $36,065
Hybrid Limited: $36,065
The 2024 Sonata starts at $2,050 more than before due to removing the SE trim. However, it is $475 less expensive than the previous SEL. The feature set is nearly identical, with 17-inch alloy wheels as standard, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone automatic climate control, and heated seats. The list of safety features is extensive, including automatic emergency braking, blind-spot warning, lane-keep assist, and more.
You’ll also notice that adding all-wheel drive raises the SEL’s price by $1,500. It costs about $1,000 more than the all-wheel-drive Toyota Camry and Nissan Altima and $4,000 more than the surprisingly affordable Subaru Legacy. Of course, the Camry’s pricing will change soon when the hybrid-only updated model is released.
Non-hybrid SEL trims come with a 2.5L four-cylinder, eight-speed automatic gearbox. A 2.0L hybrid, six-speed automatic is used in combinations. N Line is the only model with a turbocharged 2.5L dual-clutch eight-speed automatic gearbox. The non-hybrid Sonatas will be on the market by the end of the year. The hybrid models will be available in the first quarter of 2024.
