iOS 18.2 to Show How Long Your iPhone Will Take to Charge

Apple’s upcoming iOS 18.2 update may bring a helpful new feature to iPhone users—a charging time estimate. Discovered by 9to5Mac in the latest iOS 18.2 beta, this “BatteryIntelligence” feature will calculate how long it will take to reach specific charge levels, like 80% or full.

The estimate will be based on the amount of energy received, offering users more insight into their iPhone’s charging process.

This feature could also notify users about estimated charging times, giving iPhone owners more control over battery health. While the feature is not fully active in the beta version, Apple may roll it out in the public release of iOS 18.2, expected in early December.

iOS 18 has already introduced battery health tools, allowing users to set charging limits between 80% and 95% to preserve battery life. The update also alerts users when using a slower-than-optimal charger.

Alongside the charging estimate feature, iOS 18.2 is set to introduce other tools like ChatGPT integration for Siri, Genmoji for custom emojis, and Image Playground.

These updates aim to give users a more personalized and efficient iPhone experience.
