TOKYO — ­Lexus is forging on with its plans to totally electrify its lineup by 2035, revealing two vehicles at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show as a preview of a production automobile. The LF-ZC, in particular, previews a 2026 production vehicle, whereas the LF-ZL illustrates what is feasible from an electric Lexus flagship using the brand’s next-generation EV design.

TOKYO — ­Lexus is forging on with its plans to totally electrify its lineup by 2035, revealing two vehicles at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show as a preview of a production automobile. The LF-ZC, in particular, previews a 2026 production vehicle, whereas the LF-ZL illustrates what is feasible from an electric Lexus flagship using the brand’s next-generation EV design.

The interior is heavily digitised and utilises The LF-ZC seats passengers low and forward, with a yoke in front of the driver that uses steer-by-wire technology. The Arene OS system and AI “Butler” that can understand the driver’s requirements and preferences are used in the LF-ZC.

Even less specifics are available for the other unveiling, the LF-ZL pictured below, although we expect much of the same advanced technology to focus on a more full luxury experience.The LF-ZL also employs the Arene OS, as well as a “Interactive Reality in Motion” feature that use onboard sensors to integrate the driver’s experience with their surroundings.
