Morgan Super 3 re-enters the U.S. with three-wheeled distinction

Morgan Super 3

The Super 3’s 1.5-liter Ford engine produces 110 pound-feet of torque at 4,500 rpm and 118 horsepower at 6,500 rpm. The “3” refers to the number of wheels and engine cylinders. The tranny is a five-speed manual that was taken from the parts bin of the Mazda MX-5.

Even after more than a century of operation, the Morgan Motor Company is still a mystery to many Americans, despite its historical fame in Britain and Europe. It only has a dozen showrooms in the United States, and it’s not ashamed to demand high prices for its products.

The Morgan 3 Wheeler was the last Morgan offered in the US. Morgan’s four-wheeled Plus Four and Plus Six versions are currently unavailable.

Morgan claims the Super 3 can reach 62 mph in 7.0 seconds and has a top speed of 130 mph. The vehicle weighs only 1,400 pounds and is predicted to have a fuel efficiency of 40 miles per gallon.

The suspension is made up of wishbones and a pull-rod system. The interior is straightforward, with two digital instruments in the center of the dashboard. The seats are available in vinyl, water-resistant leather, technological fabric, and saddle leather for increased durability. A footwell warmer, which is optional, adds all-season capability. A configurator is already operational.
