While a few other new Mac products, including the 15-inch MacBook Air and Apple Silicon Mac Pro, are expected to come this year, a revamped iMac has been conspicuously absent from reports. The latest information on the upcoming iMac, including information on its chip, size, colors, and likely debut date, comes from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
The most frequent query Mark receives each week is “when is a new iMac coming out,” which he mentioned in his Power On newsletter this morning along with other information on the iMac.
The new iMacs are pretty far along in the development process, but according to Mark, they “are not expected to go into mass production for at least three months.” The earliest launch would then occur in the second part of 2023.
While this may be disappointing for those who have been waiting for an upgraded iMac, it’s good to know they’re coming and that the release date won’t be delayed until 2024.
