Donald Trump is reportedly considering an advisory role for Elon Musk

Trump Musk advisory role

If Donald Trump wins re-election, Elon Musk may spend more time in the White House.

The Wall Street Journal stated that the two have been discussing Musk’s potential advising role if Trump wins the 2024 election.

Although the role’s title and details remain unknown, sources familiar with the matter told the Journal that conversations included ways for Musk to provide feedback on border security and economic policy. Still, the position hasn’t been properly debated and may not be implemented, they said.

Despite his conflicts with Trump over the last two years, Musk is quietly lobbying his rich peers to withdraw their support for Joe Biden, according to the Journal.

According to the report, Musk is also collaborating with billionaire investor Nelson Peltz on a proposal to fund a project that uses data to ensure that votes are counted correctly and prevent voting fraud.

In recent months, Musk has been transparent about his opinions toward the Biden administration. The CEO of Tesla stated on X in March that, up until a few years ago, he used to vote “100% Democratic.”

The Journal claims that Musk and Trump have been having dinner together and talking about things like immigration, technology, and the Space Force.

Elon Musk did not answer Business Insider’s comment request right away.
