Ford keeps up its relentless stream of racing news by introducing a new NHRA Mustang Dark Horse Funny Car today.
This year, this Funny Car will compete at the drag strip for Ford Performance. Its new 2024 Mustang-inspired design is the primary change. Here, you can see how well it matches the previous Mustang Funny Car in terms of the new Mustang’s lower “openings,” headlights, and front grille. Not only is it the new Mustang, but the design is inspired by the Dark Horse model.
Ford describes it as “the perfect fusion of power, speed, and a legacy of excellence that defines Ford Performance in the world of NHRA racing.”
This season, the 17-time event winner driver Bob Tasca III will guide the Mustangs on the racetrack. The Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida, from March 7–10, kick off the season.
Speaking of the Supervan, Ford confirmed that the 1400-horsepower Supervan 4 is heading down under to Bathurst in February. Additionally, Ford announced that another EV demonstrator, which it has not yet named, will return to Pikes Peak.
