Lexus updated its configurator with the more powerful compact hybrid crossover, dubbed UX 300h from UX 250h. The higher number indicates a higher output from Toyota’s fifth-generation hybrid powertrain, also featured in the current Toyota Prius.
In place of the existing UX 250h’s nickel-metal hydride pack, a pair of motor generators, a continuously variable gearbox (CVT), and a lithium-ion battery power a 2.0-liter four-cylinder. Lexus also incorporated a new hybrid transaxle, increasing the system’s output to 196 horsepower from 181 in the 2024 model.
The increased potency resulted in higher MSRPs compared to the 2024 UX 250h, ranging from $800 to $2,290. The prices, including the $1,150 destination fee and their variations from 2023, are:
Base: $37,490 ($800)
Premium of $40,690 ($1,540)
F Sport Design costs $41,440 ($2,290).
F Sport Handling costs $45,955 ($1,835).
They all purchase front-wheel-drive trims. Adding an additional motor to the back axle for all-wheel drive costs $1,570.
The base, Premium, and F Sport Design models all come standard with an eight-inch infotainment screen. Assuming the EPA’s statistics are identical, the FWD variant would get one more combined mpg than the 2024 UX 250h, while the AWD version would get two more. Dealers should receive the UX shortly.
