WhatsApp Introduces Custom Chat Lists for Easier Chat Organization

WhatsApp has launched a new feature called Custom Chat Lists, which is designed to make organizing conversations easier. With Custom Lists, users can group chats based on categories they choose, such as family, work, or friends.

This upgrade builds on the chat filters introduced earlier, offering a more personalized way to manage messages.

To create a Custom List, open WhatsApp, go to the Chats tab and tap the plus (+) icon in the filter bar. Select the chats you want to include, and the new list will appear at the top of your chat screen.

Lists can be easily edited by long-pressing the list name, allowing users to add or remove conversations as needed.

This feature aims to save time by giving users quick access to their most important chats without having to scroll. Available now on the latest WhatsApp update for iOS and Android, Custom Chat Lists are expected to roll out to all users over the coming weeks.
