The OnePlus 13R is set to launch globally on January 7, 2024, alongside the flagship OnePlus 13. Known as the OnePlus Ace 5 in China, this smartphone packs high-end features at a budget-friendly price.
The phone sports a 6.8-inch flat OLED display with Dolby Vision support and flicker-free technology, offering a premium viewing experience. It’s also tougher than its predecessor, with an IP65 rating for better protection against dust and water splashes.
The 50MP main camera, featuring Sony’s IMX906 sensor, delivers sharper photos, while the 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro cameras remain unchanged.
Battery life is a standout feature, thanks to a massive 6415mAh battery—significantly larger than the 5500mAh battery on the 12R. It supports 80W fast charging, which may be slower than the 12R’s 100W but helps extend the battery’s lifespan.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 13R is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and runs OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15. It offers 12GB or 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage, ensuring smooth performance and ample space.
Priced at CNY 2299 (around $315) in China, global pricing is expected to be similar to the 12R’s starting price of $500.
With its powerful features and affordable price, the OnePlus 13R is shaping up to be the best mid-range phone of 2024.
