According to The Wall Street Journal, Netflix is lowering subscription costs in more than 30 countries. Yemen, Jordan, Libya, Iran, Kenya, Croatia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines are all included.
Netflix subscriptions are now 50% cheaper in several regions. A Netflix spokesman stated that the business is “updating” the cost of its plans in select locations, but did not identify which ones. Prices will stay unchanged in key Netflix markets such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Spain, Germany, Mexico, and Brazil.
In 2022, Netflix raised the prices of its plans globally. There have only been a few occasions when the corporation announced price cuts. Although the reasons for the shift are unknown, it comes as Netflix tries to recruit new members in the midst of the streaming fight.
Netflix blamed the loss of more than 200,000 customers in the first quarter of 2022 on users who shared their passwords with friends and relatives. The network has more than 100 million users who do not have a Netflix membership, according to the business.
