Apple to begin mass production of iPhone 15 displays in June

production of iPhone 15 displays in June

Last year’s iPhone 14 lineup was greatly hampered by supply difficulties, resulting in customers being unable to purchase a new model in time for the holiday season – particularly for the Pro variants. However, it appears that manufacture of the iPhone 15 display panels will begin as early as June in order to ensure that enough devices are ready by the end of the year.

According to DSCC analyst Ross Young, manufacture of the iPhone 15 display panels will begin in June. According to the analyst, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro would have “an early lead in volume,” implying that Apple anticipates increased demand for these specific models.

Young stated that the Dynamic Island will be available on all new iPhone 15 models, not only the Pro variants. Other news outlets, including 9to5Mac, confirmed the report. The display on the Pro versions will be the same size as the current generation, but with reduced bezels. More expensive technology, such as ProMotion, which permits variable refresh rates up to 120Hz, will, predictably, stay unique to Pro models.

The iPhone 15’s production preparations reportedly began in January, while mass production typically begins between June and July.
