New HomePod with Built-in Display to be Announced in 2024

New HomePod with Built-in Display

This year, Apple unveiled a new HomePod that is a near-exact replica of the model that was first unveiled in 2017 and was eventually phased out in 2021. Nevertheless, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has now claimed that Apple would unveil a new HomePod with a built-in 7-inch display in early 2024, despite claims that the firm is working on a new product that merges the iPad, Apple TV, and HomePod into one unit.

The expert anticipates that this HomePod will look considerably different from the one that is now available. The new 7-inch panel, which will be provided by the Chinese manufacturer Tianma, will be the primary change. A built-in display on the new HomePod will allow for “tighter interaction with Apple’s other hardware devices, signalling a fundamental shift in the company’s smart home strategy,” claims Kuo.

A more ambitious device that combines the capabilities of the iPad, Apple TV, and HomePod is also being explored internally at Apple. Similar to the Amazon Echo Show, which is essentially a tablet hooked to a speaker with a unique interface for quick interactions, the concept would be similar.
