According to Jeff Pu of Haitong Intl Tech Research, Apple intends to bring Micro LED technology to the Apple Watch Ultra with an even larger display in the future.
And regrettably, it appears that those who were hoping for a more significant upgrade will find the 2023 Apple Watch models to be a little boring. According to Jeff Pu’s note to investors, a “lack of significant spec upgrade” will cause a decline in Apple Watch sales in 2023.
However, those who are prepared to put off purchasing a new Apple Watch longer may gain access to some useful new technology. According to the analyst, a Micro LED panel, rather than an OLED one will probably be used in the Apple Watch Ultra in 2024. For those who don’t know, Micro LED is an OLED substitute that has even higher brightness levels and better color accuracy.
According to rumors, Apple is working on incorporating Micro LED displays into some of its future products. The technology, however, is still significantly more expensive than OLED and Mini LED. As a result, the Apple Watch is an ideal candidate to be the first product to feature such a display panel. After all, the Apple Watch was the company’s first device to feature an OLED display.
