For iPhone and iPad, iOS 15.7.2 and iPadOS 15.7.2 are now available

iOS 15.7.2

With significant security fixes, Apple releases iOS 15.7.2 and iPadOS 15.7.2 for iPhone and iPad.

Apple has released software updates for older devices along with iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2. The smaller 15.7.2 release offers very little in comparison to the larger iOS 16 updates, which are jam-packed with new features and changes.

You do, however, receive significant security updates, which is always nice to have. Nothing is worse than using a phone or tablet that exposes your personal data to risk.

It’s simple to download and install the most recent update; simply navigate to Settings > General > Software Update and wait for the update to appear. Remember that in order to install the update, your iPhone or iPad must have at least 50% battery life; otherwise, you will need to plug it into a power source.

You have the option to cleanly install the update here as well. Using a Lightning cable, connect your iPhone or iPad to your PC or Mac. In Finder or iTunes, click the Restore iPhone / iPad button. Your data will be erased, so you should use iCloud, iTunes, or Finder to back it all up safely and securely.
