Apple is set to unveil iOS 17 at WWDC 2023, along with other new software updates. A recent report suggests that the upcoming update will include a range of “nice to have” features. Another rumor claims that the will receive a complete redesign in iOS 17, which would be the first overhaul of the featuControl Center re since iOS 11 in 2017.
The Control Center was first introduced with iOS 7 and offers quick access to Wi-Fi, cellular, and Bluetooth settings, media controls, and shortcuts to some native apps. An anonymous leaker on the MacRumors Forums suggests that users will be able to further customize the Control Center with the new redesign.
Rumors also suggest that iOS 17 may drop support for some older devices, including the iPhone 8, iPhone X, and first-generation iPad Pro. Apple will officially announce iOS 17, along with other major OS versions like watchOS 10, tvOS 17, and macOS 14, at WWDC 2023. The event is scheduled to take place from June 5-9, with a special opening event at Apple Park.
