Refreshed Kia EV6 for Korea shows a new face and tweaked cabin

Refreshed Kia EV6 Korea

The Korean-market EV6 is now available, with the gloss of modifications predicted by teaser images. As is customary for these lifecycle changes, the new front fascia makes the most impact. The standard headlights are replaced with “Star Map” illumination, which forms a polygonal pattern around the redrawn front bumper and includes an illuminated crossbar.

More minor improvements out rear include complementing lighting on the full-width light bar and new fake diffuser forms that identify the GT-Line from lower trims. New geometric wheels in black and silver for that market, measuring 19 or 20 inches, bring the EV6 closer to the appearance of Kia’s growing line of new electric vehicles.

Inside, a redesigned instrument panel has a clean, rectangular form. In non-GT trims, the crossbar steering wheel has upswept lines rather than downswept ones, and a two-tone finish makes it exceptionally stylish. The GT-Line also aims for further distinction by adding a three-spoke steering wheel.

A reshaped wireless charging pad holds phones more securely. The car also features a digital rearview mirror, new ambient lighting with “dynamic graphics,” wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, compatibility with Kia Digital Key 2, and a fingerprint sensor for owners to start their cars.

As planned, the battery capacity has increased from 77.4 kWh to 84.0 kWh. A 350 kW rapid charger can recharge from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes.
