Pak Suzuki Motor Company has reached a significant milestone by launching vehicle exports to Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
This achievement was celebrated at a recent event attended by key figures, including Federal Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain and Pak Suzuki’s CEO Hiroshi Kawamura.
The event highlighted Pak Suzuki’s impressive accomplishment of producing 2.5 million vehicles. Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain praised the company for maintaining competitive prices and high quality while achieving this milestone.
He emphasized the importance of showcasing Suzuki’s products on the global stage to boost exports and support the automotive industry’s growth.
Hiroshi Kawamura, CEO of Pak Suzuki, noted the company’s extensive history of exporting vehicles and parts since 1997. The recent expansion to Bangladesh and Afghanistan underscores the global competitiveness of Pakistani-made vehicles.
Kawamura also addressed industry challenges, calling for stricter regulations on used car imports and more support to meet export targets.
Another highlight was the inauguration of the new Suzuki Vendor Cluster Area, which aims to enhance local supplier networks, improve efficiency, and reduce costs through localized supply chain management. This initiative supports Pak Suzuki’s growth and contribution to Pakistan’s economy.
Khuda Bukhsh, CEO of the Engineering Development Board, and Saif Anjum, Secretary of Industries, also acknowledged Pak Suzuki’s achievements in local content and production capacity.
The event reaffirmed the commitment of both Pak Suzuki and the government to advancing the automotive sector and promoting export growth.
