In honor of Chinese New Year, Apple releases a limited-edition version of the Airpods Pro

Apple has made available a limited number of second-generation Air Pods Pro with a Year of the Rabbit engraving through its online store and retail locations in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau in honor of the upcoming Chinese New Year on January 22.

According to the Chinese calendar, 2023 will be the Year of the Rabbit. The wireless charging case of the limited-edition Air Pods Pro has a specially created engraving of a rabbit, and the box they come in has a larger version of the graphic printed in red. Other than that, they are identical to the standard Air Pods Pro, and the price has not changed.

The iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, second-generation Air Pods, and third-generation Air Pods are among the products that Apple is discounting by up to $1,000 for Chinese New Year purchases made between December 30 and January 2. Otter Box’s limited-edition Chinese New Year case for iPhone 14 models has also begun to be sold by Apple.

Customers can use an iPhone to create a New Year portrait that they can share with family and friends during free Today at Apple sessions that are being offered between January 6 and February 7 in Apple’s retail stores in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore.

First-generation Air Pods Pro limited editions were previously made available by Apple for the 2021 Year of the Ox and the 2022 Year of the Tiger. The 2018 limited-edition Air Pods Pro are only available while supplies last and are only available in sets of two per customer, according to Apple.

First available in September, the second-generation Airpods Pro have up to 2x more active noise cancellation, a longer battery life, and other improvements.
