Two rumors on Weibo claim that Apple will utilize a brand-new “frosted glass” design on the rear of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus currently have glossy rear glass, whereas the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max have a frosted matte appearance.
The same source also states that a new cyan-green color will be offered for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. The green color that Apple offered for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini is said to be comparable to this.
Apple may change the design of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max if it decides to employ a new frosted glass manufacturing process for the back glass of the iPhone 15. It’s probable that the “Pro” phones employ a glossy coating for the rear glass to contrast the new matte titanium edges, which are rumored to be used on the “Pro” phones. But this is just conjecture.
