Several local banks in Panama, including Banco General, BAC, St Georges Bank, and Ficosa, accept Apple Pay. One of the banks’ websites acknowledges the arrival of Apple Pay in the country, which works with Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards, including Panama.
Apple Pay is currently available in over 80 countries worldwide. It allows users of iPhone and Apple Watch to pay in stores by holding their devices near the credit and debit card reader. Apple Pay is also available online for apps and websites. The feature is also available for iPad and Mac users in this scenario.
By navigating to the Settings app on the iPad, Mac, or Wallet app on the iPhone, users can add a new card to Apple Pay. The Watch app manages the procedure for Apple Watch owners.
For Apple Pay to function with the newest banks added to the platform, it is advised that you have the most recent operating system version loaded on your smartphone. Additionally, we advise you to download the most recent version of your bank’s app.
It’s also important to keep in mind that Apple Cash and Apple Pay are separate services and that the latter two are still exclusively offered in the US.
