At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Bentley debuted the Speed Six Continuation Series. This series follows the 12 Bentley Blower Continuation models. By using the same procedures as the original vehicle, Mulliner, Bentley’s bespoke and coachbuilding business, will construct the Speed Six. Because of the Speed Six’s supremacy at Le Mans in 1929 and 1930, Bentley considers it to be its most successful race car ever.
For the “612-litre” six-cylinder engine, over 600 new parts had to be made. It produces 205 horsepower, 5 more than the original race engines, according to preliminary dyno testing. Someone meticulously examined the Speed Six Continuation Series for authenticity in every aspect. In order to pass on expertise, automobile builders will collaborate with young people. Before going into production, Bentley intends to put “Car Zero” through a real-world durability program.
The Mulliner team will hold personalized sessions with the 12 buyers who will possess these Speed Six Continuation Series vehicles. Production is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2025, with each car taking 10 months to manufacture.
