2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV SS arrival pushed to next year

Chevrolet Blazer EV SS

Chevrolet’s plan to deliver the highly anticipated 2024 Blazer EV SS this fall has been changed. According to an update on Chevy’s retail site, the Blazer EV SS will now be available in spring 2024.

The Blazer EV SS is the range-topping trim, offering impressive performance with two Ultium motors producing 557 horsepower and 648 pound-feet of torque. It is expected to accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 4 seconds in Wide Open Watts (WOW) mode. The SS trim features larger Brembo brakes, a “track-tuned” suspension, and 22-inch wheels with optional all-season tires.

Prior to the SS trim, the 2LT and RS trims will be introduced. The 2LT will offer front-wheel drive and optional dual-motor all-wheel drive, while the RS trim comes with front-wheel drive and a medium-size battery pack. The RS trim can be upgraded to a larger battery pack with rear-wheel drive.

The Police Pursuit Vehicle (PPV) trim is expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2024, possibly around the same time as the SS trim. The entry-level 1LT trim is anticipated to launch toward the end of 2024, with an estimated price of $44,995. In the meantime, the Blazer EV SS can be seen in the upcoming Barbie movie, set to be released on July 21st, 2023.
