Fortnite on iOS will no Longer Let Players Spend their V-Bucks

Fortnite no Longer on V-Bucks

Epic Games announced on Twitter that players of Fortnite utilizing version 13.40 of the game will no longer be able to use their V-Bucks. V-Bucks are Fortnite currencies that players can spend to purchase fresh in-game things, for those who are unfamiliar. The most recent version of Fortnite to be made available on the App Store and Google Play for iOS, macOS, and Android was version 13.40.

In other words, individuals who still have Fortnite downloaded through Google Play won’t be able to utilize their virtual currency. Players of this version of Fortnite must be at least 18 years old, which is another restriction that will take effect on January 30.

The creators of the game note that in addition to running an old version of Fortnite, this version of Epic Online Services, which oversees the game’s parental settings and transactional guidelines, is also in use. But it’s getting harder to maintain support for this version now that Fortnite is no longer able to be updated and is banned from the App Store and Google Play.

The game is still playable, but there has never been any new content added, and gamers can only find other players who have the same outdated version of Fortnite.
