SADAFCO partners with NTSC to implement zero-emission vehicles

SADAFCO Zero-Emission Vehicles Partnership

RIYADH: Saudia Dairy & Foodstuff Co. has a deal with National Transport Solutions Co. to add zero-emission vehicles to its fleet to uphold its dedication to sustainability.

This program, which aims to cut carbon emissions, is in line with SADAFCO’s Sustainability 2030 Vision, claims a news release. Under the agreement, NTSC will help SADAFCO estimate the existing carbon emissions generated by its fleet of vehicles and aid in developing a thorough transition plan for ZEVs.

Multiple phases will carry out the proposed project. The initial phase will involve conducting a study to determine the existing carbon emissions produced by the vehicle fleet of SADAFCO.

The evaluation of the availability of zero-emission automobiles in Saudi Arabia will then take center stage. Then, in order to create a strategic roadmap for the transition, emissions data, fleet composition, operational cycles, and ZEV availability will be integrated.

According to the company’s press release, “This collaboration shows SADAFCO’s steadfast dedication to lowering its carbon footprint, advancing sustainability efforts, and promoting a greener future. With this step towards sustainable mobility, SADAFCO and NTSC are both eager to establish a precedent for good corporate citizenship in the area”.

One of the well-known brands in the Saudi Arabian food industry, SADAFCO, reported a net profit of SR107.63 million for the first quarter of 2023, up from SR56.27 million during the same period in the previous year.
