Apple is no Longer Part of Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work Ranking

Apple Glassdoor's Ranking

Apple and Meta aren’t included in Glassdoor’s ranking of the 100 Best Places to Work in 2023, as reported by CNBC. In recent years, both businesses have consistently been ranked, but this time, something has changed. In Glassdoor’s list, both businesses actually ceased doing well last year.

Meta was ranked #11 and Apple was ranked #31 in 2021. However, in 2022, the rankings of the companies significantly dropped to #47 and #56, respectively. The evaluations made by these companies employees and shared on the platform constitute the basis of Glassdoor’s ranking. Between October 2021 and October 2022, Glassdoor examined “hundreds of thousands” of businesses with at least 1,000 employees in order to compile the 2023 ranking.

The absence of Apple and Meta from this year’s rating, according to Glassdoor’s head economist Daniel Zhao, is “quite striking” given that neither company has ever dropped off the list in the previous ten years. While Meta (previously Facebook) has been on the list since 2011 and has even reached the top spot in the past, Apple, for instance, has been in the chart for the past 15 years.
