According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple expects to release macOS Ventura with iPadOS 16 during the week of October 24. According to Gurman’s most recent email, the initial version of macOS Ventura includes compatibility for new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, which are slated to be delivered in the “near future.”
The new MacBook Pro models, according to Gurman, will have M2 Pro and M2 Max CPU options, but other changes will be minimal. While new iPad Pro versions with the M2 processor are expected to be introduced in “a matter of days,” Gurman believes new MacBook Pros will not be offered alongside the newest iPad Pro.
Instead, he stated that the new MacBook Pros are “on track to debut in the near future,” noting that Apple has a history of releasing new Macs in November, such as the initial 16-inch MacBook Pro in 2019 and the first Macs with the M1 processor in 2020. Apple is working on an improved Mac mini with an M2 processor, according to Gurman. Apple last upgraded the Mac mini with the M1 chip in 2020, and higher-priced Intel models with Core i5 and Core i7 CPU choices are still available.
According to Gurman, Apple has no plans to have an October event this year: Apple’s late-fall iPad and Mac upgrades have usually been heralded with grand ceremonies, but this year’s release will be more understated. Federighi and Joswiak are expected to talk about macOS Ventura and iPadOS 16, maybe addressing the dispute around the new Stage Manager feature. iOS 16.1 is expected to be released with iPadOS 16.1 and macOS Ventura, and will include numerous new iPhone features like as Live Activities in third-party apps.
